    i get my pots from a friend who works for a nursery that does the planting for our coucil and they just bin the pots after they have used them because there not allowed to re-use them.

          Think I might nip into my local homebase tomorrow, think they do that too, and I am so low on plant pots since I have been taking mine to the school for their planting.
          do you think yoghurt pots would be deep enough? or the tirimisu pots from Aldi? we get through a few of these every week.
          Wonder if we could use baked beans tins? only once I know, but isn't reusing better than recycling, isn't it?

            The really daft thing is I threw away LOADS of pots and trays and other seed-planting stuff when we moved last summer. Now I need it all and can't afford it.

            Off to trawl the skips and car parks of North Essex ...
