  • A what have you been buying thread!

Well I recieved a fantastic Victorian planter for Valentines day so of course needed to order plants! However I not only bought the strawberries, but also Honeysuckle vines, giant trailing fuschias, pansy can can plugs, and a butterfly bush; I have to say I'm in bliss

What have you been buying lately?

My sister is home on holiday so its shopping time.
There are three of us girls,me being the eldest.
When she comes home we get together and spend as much time as possible together.
However, her holiday would'nt be complete without a day trip to town to do some serious shopping.
For myself, i bought a jacket, sweater, PJ's, socks and a locely cardi for my holidaysd.
My sister always heads for the irish stores just to see if she can find something different.
This time she will be going home with her case crammed.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Seed potatoes. Dobies have a good selection in and they have them in little bags so I was able to get a few varieties
Pink Fir Apple, Rocket, International Kidney and Red Duke of York.
Some Elephant Garlic, 2 Pieris and a few bags of compost.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Far too much spent recently especially at the garden centre.

Wood for raised beds - £189 to date, but nearly finished now. It'll come in at about £225 in total.

                  But that's 8 raised beds of 20' by 4'.

(perspective time - 3' by 3' raised beds about £20 from Harrods Horticulture)

This IS chitchat isn't it? .

So normally I don't do retail therapy. I hate shopping, but I did realise that the shoes I wear to work are a bit delapidated (decrepid). Soooh I went shopping. I bought: new trousers (couldn't find any tops I liked), slow cooker (leads to another story), a flat screen telly for the kitchen (absolute bargain), new shoes, curtain material for the lounge (I'll have to get the sewing machine out, but the ready mades in the same fabric made me feel ill).

Um, I liked some other stuff and think I might go back for it, it always worries me that having made a decision, the object may no longer be available.

Well, I got some bed-socks in a sale at 50p. They're bright pink and fluffy, but I don't care. They're in the drawer now awaiting another cold snap like the one we had over the last few weeks and then at least I won't be scared of getting up to use the bathroom again.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
