Stupid things also come in threes

Today I bought some compost and a pair of safety specs from Wickes. on arriving home I realised I had left the specs in the trolley(1). Dashed back to find some kindly soul had handed them in
Proceeded to use new hedge trimmer on unruly bush/tree and in less than 5 minutes sawed through the electric cable(2). Repaired cable and completed job
Thought I would do some weeding(which I normally leave to OH). OH asks where her plants have gone that she planted 3 weeks ago to help control weed growth(3). Apologise profusely and offer to never weed again
Anyone else ?

well i now have a 2 foot cable on my hedge trimmers, cos i figured that 20 foot of cable mended 20 times might not have been THE safest thing in the world

but if i listed all the stoopid things i've done i'd be here all night ........ have never dug up any plants thinking they are weeds though, i usually tend weeds lovingly, just in case they are plants ..... cos i tend to just chuck flower seeds in the ground to see what happens, so they could be anything, i can recognise that fat hen is not parsnips now though

Have lost count of the number of times I've cut through the hedge trimmer cable. I once lived in a semi detached house. The nieghbours cables from her phone and satelite dish ran down the wall right in the middle of our two houses and entered her house very close to the boundary hedge. Guess which cables I once cut through whilst cutting the hedge.

I have and sell cordless strimmers, they are compact and easy to charge! Now i never worry about cutting off my arm lol

yeah but i have to wait till the 2 i have now give up and die, cos while they work i haven't got the excuse to spend the cash lol
