                        Sat on ward now, waiting... Apparently i'm 4th on the list so won't be my turn til about 4 o'clock. Ooooh i'm hungry

                          Well, I went to theatre eventually, at about 4:15pm. I didn't make it back to the ward til about 6:30pm though (only a 15 minute op) due to a little complication... Apparently I had a reflux which ended up in my lungs... Cue emergency intubation etc... I'm lucky to be home as they usually keep you in for obs if this happens. But the anaesthetist must have done a grand job as my oxygen sats were 99-100% so they let me leave at about 8.30pm. I have to keep an eye on myself for the next 72 hours and go back in if any breathing difficulties develop. But I feel fine at the mo, and can start gradual weight-bearing in 2 days time

                          So yet another hip-hurrah for our fab doctors, nurses and support staff, and in particular the ones who work at Airedale General Hospital
