I went through a phase a few months ago where I was convinced that I was offending everyone (though everyone said I wasn't) sometimes a confusion between your writing style and someone else's can lead to misunderstandings. If all this is about a certain thread where you made a joke that someone seemed to jump on then I wouldn't worry about it. Do as I did, have a break for a few days then return, but read everything through twice, just to make sure it can't be misinterpreted and that no-one will take offence (I sometimes forget). Personally I've never been offended by anything you've written.

Good grief Piglet, not you too? What on earth would make you feel that you annoy people, have always though that you were one of the most helpful and polite peeps on here! Don't always agree with your point of view but you never sound judgemental.

I sometimes start to type something then don`t as I think someone might take it the wrong way. I have done it a few times on this post already.
Like MrsC says don`t take it to heart. We are all on here to have a natter, learn something new and in some cases to let off steam.
Also we need all the people we can on "count to a million" you only have to type in numbers and sometimes a few words.

I 'm not the worlds best at typing, so my posts tend to be on the shorter side and condensed. This leads the way to misunderstandings. Unfortunately only 20% of communication is the words, the rest is facial expressions, body language, tonal intonation etc. So when we poost, 80% of our communication is lost. This is why the smiley faces etc came into being.... as a way of trying to complete the rest of the communication. Well I hope you see what I'm trying to say and this is alrready turning into an essay by my standards.

I know that on the whole there's a great bunch of people here and I am really glad to start meeting them, I nearly stopped posting early on as it felt as if things I posted were ignored etc. I think on my AA meeting style hi I'm new, I only got 2 people saying hi.... I was also roasted early on when someone misunderstood something I typed, but I'm glad I stuck it out and I hope you will too.

I agree, there's a great bunch of people here, they're very generous with their knowledge and giving of their humour and even though I've only got a little garden and really only grow flowers I still feel this is a nice welcoming place. I was encouraged to grow potatoes in pots last year - didn't have a clue before I came here - and they were very nice. This year I'm going to have a go at growing carrots and expect to be asking questions very soon. I don't mind being somewhat 'on the outside looking in' because I'm listening and learning. I don't always get responses to my comments but that's ok, I just like to whitter on to myself in 'real life' too sometimes! Whenever I have posted a question I usually get an answer and if I don't I ask again if I remember what it was! Anyway what I am saying is there is no need for Becki to go (there's no need for you to go Becki!!) If she's talking about the valentines thread and Irie Jan's comments that was all sorted out at the time wasn't it? The misunderstanding was explained and apols given and accepted - or did I miss something. Anyway come back. Have a hug. We need you; I bet YOU'VE grown carrots... I need some advice B.

Hi PB I've no idea what you have or haven't posted that might have caused you to think there was a problem...but one things for sure even on a messageboard so full of lurve as this one there are bound to be a few disagreements, misunderstandings and dislikes!

Unless something gets personal (when you should contact a MOD) then just ignore it and concentrate on all the great posters and great info you get from this place!

Becki, I've missed whatever's happened, but I do understand how upsetting it is when someone has a go at you and makes it personal. I think there are quite a few people on here, me included, who've wondered more than once if we fit in around here.

I belong to four fourms, each one can appear the same to new members - clique, that can be because 'you' (the new member) are not aware of the inhouse style or just because everyone knows each other and 'you' have yet to meet them.

Fourms are as in real life to the extent that people will naturally form friendships with some but not others.

I know I annoy some in here, that is their problem not mine - I never mean any harm, I can get silly, but that is my real life style. I would not want to leave this place because I annoy some of here. I believe even I add value here - as do we all
