Selling on ebay - problem payers

I've purchased things via ebay for years and things have always been great.

A few weeks ago I started a massive clearout and started selling some bits and pieces. Things have been going well but I've had to raise three Non Payment Disputes recently. Am I just unlucky or does this happen to others too? It really spoils the ebay experience for me when it all becomes a bit awkward because on non payers.

I've had a few recently too, on collection only items, they either haven't read it or are trying it on and live miles away....To be honest I just relist or second chance offer it, the hassle of opening disputes - as a seller - it's not worth it! Try not to let it get you down, most people on Ebay are genuine, nice people!

check they are getting the invoices and try to email them, i have had this recently and discovered that they were not checking their messages but were checking emails. Its a pain when it happens.........i have been selling and have had the most ridiculous questions......take this for instance, question :- does the garden seed spreader, spread like normal or like a russian one? some strange folk about.......

I have had it once, thankfully, its just the odd idiot. I tend to block people with less than 5 possitive feedbacks for this reason.

Mostly its great, and a good fund raiser.

I've noticed a few people stating in their listings that they will delete bids from ebayers with less feedback than 5 or 10. I have to say that the non payers have all had feedback of less than 10.

I`ve had a few none payers. The worst ones are the items that go for quite a bit of money and they don`t pay. It has gotten worse since Ebay stopped you leaving negative feedback for buyers. I now leave it in capital letters.
I always send an invoice, then if they don`t pay within about 5 days I remind them with a nice email, then another invoice 2 days after that. If they haven`t paid 7 days later I send them another email saying that unforunatly I will have to open a dispute with them for non payment. I then block them so they can`t bid on anymore items.

when you list exclude peeps with less than 10 feedback or with 2 strikes in month given, works for me lol

My last non payer bid £16.00 on a £2 coin. He had over 500 feedback. I think he got carried away with his bidding.

What a nutter, let me see how many £2 coins I have in my purse, lol.

I've got some items to list next week - going to ask only those with Feedback of 10 or more to bid. One of my non payers won a Breadmaker for £21 but her emails are almost illegible, she then wouldn't pay by Paypal so I said I would accept a PO but she's not replying to my emails any more. Looks like I will be relisting. Her feedback as '0'. Sigh!

E Cheques take ages to clear - the last one was almost 2 weeks! Zzzzzz.....

i refuse them, paypal or cheques!!!!! nothing else although i do allow collection. i bouught an xbox for my daughter paid 8 days ago.......seller has JUST posted it, neg feedback i think!!! (not)

How do you refuse them? I just get the notification via Paypal but didn't know you could refuse this method. It's a pain when you're trying to clear things out and have to hang on to something for 2 weeks until payment clears.
