new way to interest kids in gardening

buy them guinea pigs
DD comes into the garden today, guinea pig in arms. "Mummy, you know that vegetable that the guinea pigs liked yesterday? (turnip)"
"yes....."
"Please can you plant lots of them so that my guinea pigs can have their favourite veg all summer long?"
