The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

whoops, when my boys were little a friend came round with her little girl, while we had coffee the kids went upstairs to play, they were very quiet but we didnt take any notice next thing the water was coming down the stairs and through the light fitting in the kitchen, I had to turn every thing off and allow it to dry. Friend grabbed her daughter and ran home, OH was away working all week, nightmare.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak

Don't talk to me about overflow pipes. Ours had been dripping for a few days and then Saturday morning water came through from the attic in my daughters bedroom, not only that but it then started to come through the living room ceiling! I rushed to gather buckets and other vessels to stop the water soaking up under the laminate flooring. Thought I would need to turn off the stopcock, which of course was behind a heavy washing maching between 2 units, so promptly twisted a muscle in my back. Couldn't get a plumber for love nor money so a kind neighbour came over and did a temporary job on it The plumber is supposed to be coming tomorrow Other than that it's been a lovely weekend!AKA Angie

I lost count of the number of times I flooded my old kitchen in the old house when I left the kettle filling and went off to do something less boring...
We had a filter tap and it was soooooooo slow I used to tear my hear out waiting.( I really need to learn some patience lol) I also used to get into trouble off OH for doing it until the day he did it too Brilliant.
This house the kettle can only be filled from the special tap if it's in the sink.... am sure I will find a new way to flood it though
Glad there was no damage this time Lynda

I think that's something we've all done Lynda.
My stoopid thing (apart from leaving a pan of eggs on to hard-boil - then forgetting, and going to work...) was ironing my tee-shirt one Friday morning, getting dressed and going to Center Parcs for the weekend. Came home on the Monday evening to a lovely warm smell and the click of the Iron's thermostat - bladdy house could've burned down - but it didn't
