Are you not allowed clear fluids? Black coffee?
Some surgeons allow clear fluids up to 2 hrs before a procedure. (6hrs for food)

Must have missed something (not been here much lately) so I don't know if you've said what you're having "done" but good luck!!

You can't blimmin have one so don't even try it.

You can SIP some water and that's it.

Go for a walk,have a bath...anything to take your mind off it!!!Not trying to get rid of you...honest...but I know when I'm sat at the computer I NEED coffee...they go hand in hand.So get yourself busy & away from temptation!

sips of water before 12 noon, and I am hungry. I had one coffe on waking and one sip of water but rinsed my mouth as my lips are dry. I am having carpel tunnel done.

Got up changed the bed had a shower went into town and its still only 10.30am. Got stuff to do so wont be here long.

Don't do it Jackie. The thing that can go wrong if you eat/drink too close to anaesthetic did go wrong for me last week (although i hadn't broken the rules) and I could have died. I still feel bloomin poorly. It's just not worth the risk.
Like Zazen says, sips of water.

When I had to have my glucose level tested in pregnancy,my mum kindly took me to a cafe for a bottle of water....whilst she sat & had hot Chocolate & a cake!!!...Love her to bits really...but that one moment...

Jackie - my thoughts are with you. Thank goodness my wrists have been OK for quite a while now, so Im typing this with fingers crossed! Hope everything goes well for you chuck. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.
