My Mum and Dad (both 61) are totally thrilled with their bus passes and 'senior' railcards and have travelled (albeit slowly) over long distances for next to nothing

Have fun BW, as others say, you deserve it
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

My OH got his bus pass last year and we have traavelled all over Ireland since he got it. It is free on the bus and train and spouses also travel free.
We have great day trips and saometimes pick up midweek breaks in nice hotels
Its neeeearly worth getting older just to be able to travel around freely.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

my word, you get a real good deal there,it's great for nipping into town, when i have to,would not dream of taking the car these days,to much road conjestion on the 1 i have to use,to get the centre,we always seem to be doing something else, and not had the time to explore further afield,if we go by bus to see 1 of our sons in birmingham,we have a free ride to town, and i think it 1/2 fare to brum, then a free ride that end,but we find it easier, and quicker in the car, especially with the kiddies chocolate cake lol, dare not go without it.
