According to superstition, if you chop a worm by mistake its supposed to rain!

Well someone must be going for it somewhere. Haven't dug a worm up in a week it's been so wet and wild everytime I'm off with Miss E catered for!

I confess, it was me!!!! I was trying to dig a bed for the potatoes next spring & it was full of worms crawling through all the couch grass roots. Filled 2 barrow loads with roots (began to lose the will to live!!) but did have worms in every forkload. So if you're wondering why it's been raining so much-SORRY FOLKS!!

That would explain why it has got a bit better as the week has gone on and has been lovely in the Shetlands!!

Yep, 'sorry worm'. If we want to brush past a flower with a bee doing its job, we wait until the bee has moved first.

Mr E would probably tell you that the annoying thing about having a conversation with a woman is that she's usually having three or four conversations at the same time and keeping up is hard work!!! He looks at me very blankly sometimes when I comment on a previous conversation in the middle of whatever is being conversed at the time.

Yes but having more than one conversation at the same time is so easy for women to do!

Only some men!. I used to be able to sit in our staff room and listen to every conversation going on and join in as required with no difficulty. I could also listen in to any conversation going on in my Classroom.
