  • Happy St David's Day

    YouTube - Sosban Fach

I had only moved from Canada a few months aged 6 when I had to dress up in stuffy musty costume and learn the words from this song and sing them in front of a very strange school who had toilets actually hewn out of rock that were freezing cold.

A few weeks later I had to wear a bonnet with suicidal chicks sown onto it and parade round the school hall in the freezing cold waiting to be tapped on the shoulder leaving other more unfortunate children parading round until only 3 were left.

There were both in front of all the parents, naturally.

I have never recovered from either.

However, I am pulling leeks from the lottie for lunch today.

    Happy St David's Day everyone.

Nice to see a Saint who's native to his country! (sorry to say the clip looks like a bunch of singing Mackems though!)

PS Leeks for I as well!

Happy St. David's day to all from me too. Hope your Daffs are beautiful - our's aren't out yet. My Leeks are too small to be of any use yet, but there's just about enough, if I pull them all up. I may do so if I can't resist temptation any longer!

It's my Dad's birthday today, I think that's why they called me David
Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over
            here, looking through your stuff.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

As I catch the end of Songs of Praise I realise .......

That's why Morrisons was playing a Male Voice Choir over the PA yesterday. It seemed odd at the time, but many shoppers were wandering around smiling and humming.

Unfortunately, my sining voice is inherited from my English ancestry lol.
