The council offered us free use of a stall on the farmers market and we decided the easiest way to do it was to do it for charity so I got members to put forward charities and put them in a hat and the childrens liver disease foundation was chosennow the question what do we charge so far Ive got grapes, leeks, raspberries statice potatoes shallots chiili plants with chillies on every shape of squash imaginable!! cooking apples dhalias I dont want to overprice and deter people but I want to make as much as possible.

What a good idea! Hope you manage to raise lots for the charity!
As to pricing, the Farmers Markets we've been to are usually a little cheaper than the supermarkets organic veg, so perhaps a look at what prices the big 4 supermarkets are selling for may give some idea of what to charge? I'd also suggest a big sign saying that all proceeds are for the charity, that way folks may well stump up a little more cash for the veg!
Anyhows, good luck!Blessings

How long will you have the stall for? How about selling on extra veggie plants next spring - the garden centres sell pots of broadies, beans and peas, etc.. The Moles catalogue notes which varieties are commonly sold on for kitchen gardeners.

the guest stall is done on a monthly basis we could have had it any month but I thought october best veg available quite robust so can tollerate sitting on a stall 6 hours and not like earlier in the season when youve got salad etc I will put your sugestion forward when I see what the feelings are after sunday Im looking forward to it but my feelings might be different after sunday in the rain!!
