Just wondering if it is worth doing on a small scale? I won't have a huge client base, as don't live in a housing scheme or anything, and I remember in the past (I did it as a teenager) that you used to have to pay for the catalogues. Don't mind if I only get a few pounds per month (it all helps) but don't want to be out of pocket

I know 2 people who do it, but one runs a mother & toddler group, and the other is a pub landlady so they both have a 'captive audience'
Have you looked at their website to see if there's any info?
Here you go, some info here; Avon cosmetics, beauty, make-up, skincare, fragrance, jobs, work from home

thanks for the link, have signed up, and someone should phone me at some point, but it doesn't mention the charging for catalogues thing. I'm hoping they have ditched that, but not sure, they may just not be mentioning it!!!!

Main question I want to know, is do I have to pay for the catalogues though?
thanks for your help

Hi Claire,I did it for a few months about 5 years ago....had a couple of good months over Christmas, but found they didn't make up(no pun intended!!)for the poorer months that followed.
t the time I not only had to pay for the catalogues but also any stationary & bags needed. Also,my other fear was declaring my earnings, not sure how it works, but the fact that incomings would vary so much from one month to the next made it quite difficult.
Sorry for giving a negative response, but I really did discover it wasn't money making for me...but then maybe my heart wasn't in it???...I'm with Piskie in thatI can't abide perfumes(whether on males or females...don't you just hate it if you get stuck behind someone in a queue wearing what would seem a whole bottle of the stuff....makes me actually feel physically sick!),also I don't wear make~up or really use any of the products that Avon sell.So maybe it was just a case of me failing to sell something I wasn't actually interested in...I know several people that have done well with it.
Good Luck if you do give it a try!Last edited by di; 02-03-2009, 08:11 AM.the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

I used to be a rep years ago, I did well some months and others didnt, try and get as many regulars as you can, I have been a customer to a lady until recently when I just thought that things were getting expensive and I could get similar things cheaper elsewhere.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
