  • Tantric ladybirds

Just took a couple of photos of a couple of ladybirds who were doing 'what comes naturally' on the gatepost as we've mentioned them before & the fact that they tend to have a lot of stamina in that department! I haven't seen that many ladybirds this year & am hoping that these 2 will take up residence in my ladybird house in the garden to overwinter-lots of little aphid munchers for next year I hope!

I'm sorry SueA but I have to ask.... are you permanently out with your camera on the hunt for frisky animals & insects?!

Remember the Snail Orgy photos you published..... now Ladybirds.... what next (ooh, I don't want to know!!)

I think our garden is the wildlife equivalent of 'Stringfellows', Slug!
I just spotted them when I was going to the dustbin & dived in to get my camera, I've got a new camera & am taking photos of anything that moves (or doesn't) at the moment to try it out. I've not got a fetish for insect sex-honest! I do like to photograph insects though as we don't get much large scale wildlife in the garden here. Must excuse me I think I just saw the frogs at it out there!

I must say I'd be pretty happy to see ladybirds 'at it' in my garden. I would love to see more of them out and about aphid munching!

I think you must have something good going on in your garden SueA with all the insects seeing it as some sort of love nest. Nice all the same.... I need a bit more of that going on in my garden. The only insects that seem to use my garden as a love nest are the slugs... (eugh!) and the crane flies!

I think she has cornered the market in a new kind of kinky fetish. She's a bug voyeur

Lesley, I only meant that you would be able to explain anything better to Nick as you are such an intelligent lady!
I'm not a bug voyeur Andrew-they just happen to pop up in front of my camera! Whoops, that doesn't sound right now I've written it.
