We think the chap who planned the roads around Chorley had a coffee cup on the plans because there are roundabouts everywhere - unfortunately, we've noticed that drivers around here don't seem to know how to use them - everyone just sits there looking at each other waiting for the other one to go first ! The driving instructors around here should be re-examined. I won't start on push bikes (especially cyclists without helmets) or kids with no seatbelts because it won't do my blood pressure any good

Having a son who is a truck driver I feel I do understand the stresses and strains they are under. Peter says that the number of times he has had cars trying to push past him at roundabouts mouthing off at him and giving him the finger has been quite an eye opener. Think about it, trucks need more room when going around a roundabout and really would it make such a difference if the car drivers had to wait just 5 seconds longer to get around safely!

Indicators are something that a lot of people don't use enough! That and driving up my exhaust pipe makes me really mad!

Squirrel send your son my regards. I left just before Christmas last year, not that I wanted to I was told to get another job before I had a heart attack. It wasnt "you may have" it was "you WILL have ". Ten years of stress, bad food, very little exercise and little sleep nearly caught up with me (Im only 36) . One of my mates who I started with and is the same age as me got a warning on a boat lately . He had a mild heart attack and had to be air lifted off the boat to hospital.

We got our first roundabout and pelican crossing in the mid 1990s - caused quite a stir! Now we've got loads of those mini roundabouts - I mean whose road is it when all three of you get there at the same time? Everyone here is quite polite so we can sit there for quite a while!

I work in a lovely part of London (not) and a friend in work was out today and went to cross the road at a T=Junction - there was a stationary car at the white line, and she went to cross between that car and the one behind.

The car behind didn't want her to cross infront of him (god only knows why), and lurched forward forcing her to jump backwards out ot the way.

Because of his stupidity he then hit the stationary car infront of him and then had the bloody cheek to have a go at her for it.

                We were dumbfounded!
