i put down cardboard in my front garden, the slugs love it, and every morning after about a week, w went out and it was covered in slugs .... which i then picked off and fed to the chooks ... theres not so many now well i'm happy, the chooks aren't
My poly tunnel is surrounded by chickens and immediately next to my land is a school environmental area with ponds and an army of frogs /toads so I only get the most determined slugs and snails but after reading a previous thread used the cardboard trick and the little slimy bleeders fall for it every day – Every morning I lift the cardboard and put into the chickens domain and every night I replace it.
Full proof

"Did you ever walk in a room and forget why you walked in? I think that's how dogs spend their lives."
I have a slug and snail problem...... They keep coming!!!
I have a dog so can't use pellets, tried the beer in pot sunk into ground..... caught the dog having a drink!!!
i have 4 chickens so have ample supply of egg shells, just wondering if this really works? or if any of you have tried and tested means of repelling these pests?
Everytime i go to the barbers i come back with a big bag of human hair. I put this around my plants in pots, it keeps the slugs off as they don't like the feel and also eventually rots down feeding the soil
