  • If any strangers add me, I ignore them. Heck, I can't keep up with the people I know in Real Life, never mind 'pretend' facebook friends. I know a few people who get caught up in the 'Most Friends' race and just can't understand why they do that. Not in the days of hacking into accounts, fraud and identity theft!

I'm quite happy to 'lag behind' in the numbers game.

or .... what should i do if a stranger adds me as a friend?
should i say "hey, great to see you on here, who are you? give me a call and we'll have a chat. fancy a beer?"

i work on the computer all day (in between joining in here and elsewhere!) and don't want my entire social life on the computer - do the facebook addicts spend all day working on computers too? or are they well away from the computer in the daytime?
A stranger is a friend waiting to happen.

[Just kidding, I've just ignored them, unless they were from the Vine and in which case I'll add and then have a bit of a josh].

          • What I do when getting a Friends request is check the 'mutual friends' bit to give me a clue as to who is what and where. If there are no mutual friends, I don't allow them into my world - if there are, I do

            • When I went to visit my brother in Australia I was surprised to find that all of my children kept in touch with their cousins, not only in Aus. but in Britain too.
How lovely. We have cousins in Austalia, Canada, New Zealand and Heaven knows where else but have long lost contact with them.
I would go on facebook too if I only knew how. I think it is a wonderful way to keep in touch if daily, monthly or only yearly.

                        • When I was 'witch-hunting' for a photo project last year - I joined a couple of witchy groups of Faceache - and a couple of witches added me as friends - I thought one day I'd maybe ask to photo them so I added them.

Firstly - I get a load of crazy ideas from them which I would never ever think of and they help my creativity without even knowing it

Secondly - crazy as this sounds - one is in NYC and when we were waiting for a bus out of East Village whilst we were over there - they walked past me. I was completely gobsmacked but not only was it them, but they were talking about walking in the East Village that day back when they were online - so I knew I wasn't seeing things. S/He is very recognisible as she is a he if you see what I mean and is a complete 'one-off'.

We live in a very strange world where things like this happen.

We also saw Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran drinking heavily on the next table in a Burlesque Bar in NY but he's not on my Faceache, more's the pity.

If one of your friends walked past you then surely you'd speak to them rather then just check online later?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                              Possibly!

If you knew who I meant - you'd understand.....lets just say I was a tad underdressed for a first introduction.

Worryingly I misread your post to start with and thought you'd said that you were a "tad undressed" - although that would have made a chat more of a challenge also
