  • 30th Sept A Sad day

Last day of the Year. Cleared out the Greenhouse, dug up all the blighted Toms, stripped the plots.

Big Bonfire to upset the folks in the posh houses (he he)...A day clearing up..

But TOMORROW is a whole new year....Up the allotment for the Traditional paying of dues...going back to your plot and finding out you are on 221 and not 112 and have paid for someone else’s plot. Sucking up to the Steward to get him to give that 1/4 plot by the car park to you for the bees.

Then going up the club for 4 pints of Spitfire and walking home all glowing..for lunch.

Would love the council to give me a plot near mine for bees but have had an emphatic no as "it's too close to the houses." Education needed me thinks.
We don't get asked for our dues till the end of this month. Same time as the car tax, I know which I prefer to pay.

It's a type of real ale DDL. Not necessarily quaffed, it can be drunk.
