The guy on the next plot to me sells some of his produce to the local corner shop - but it's a private site.
When we had our council lottie we were told no selling of produce was allowed.
If it's your own garden then there'd be no probs- so long as you declared your profits"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Location....Normandy France

You can't generally grow stuff to sell (its against the Allotment Act) as allotments are supposed to be to feed your family etc...however, you can sell your produce if you have done something with it (ie: made jam/chutney/pickled it).
As the others have said - be careful or you could lose your allotment!

if you normally have an allotment, think I would be growing tubs of garlic on my doorstep at home!!!! earning some money from your hobby is always a good idea!!!

Thanks all, well i don;t have an allotment!! I grow everything in my back garden. The garlic looks quite a reasonable size already, but i;m not sure that i want to sell it,as if i can string it and hang it up,it,ll see me through the winter without having to buy anymore, but may sell some next year if i grow enough.I have 60 growing this year, which will be only enough for me and family members.I thought i only had 40!
