  • Another Disaster

Trying to get up the garden steps this afternoon and my left foot hit the step instead of landing on top of it....so i landed on my right foot, full weight, and fell forwards Total, instant agony... Jez got me up and indoors and we took the stoopid ski boot off to see that my heel had a nasty bulge
So off to A&E, xray, and i've stretched my achilles tendon so far that it's pulled the top off my heel bone... It could only duckin happen to me couldn't it?
So i'm back on ward 10 while they decide if they need to pin it back together again :-(
Really, really, really fed up, shud just put me down now and have done with it.
Am gettin reasonable signal on my phone so will hopefully be able to read the Vine, at least til me battery runs out...

Oh Sarah, so sorry to hear this. Not much I can say, except to send zen hugs, as my oldest puts it.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Sarz, hugest hugs to you. I finally got your text (left my phone at home on charge when I went out) but couldn't reply as I have no credit left (again)

Hope they don't need to operate and that it all gets fixed up soonest.

Might be a good idea to invest in an inflatable suit for next foray into the garden - that way if you fall over you should bounce

Oh my....you're in for a quiet year me thinks in the garden????

You can't change things...still it's exceptionally bad luck.....accept and make the most of...eh??

I used to work with disabled peeps who would have swapped lives with you at a click of the fingers...make the most of every day...not easy I know.

ask 'them' to check on your calcium levels in yr bones whilst yr there...maybe early osteoporosis????? either that or a jinx

Hope you're back home soon..and that a gorgeous male nurse offers you a bed bath in the morning...... ( run away...run away.....

Oh my word, what bad luck. Hope the pain soon wares off. Strange how when your fully fit you'd give anything to be able to put your feet up, then when circumstances dictate that 'feet up' is the only option your instantly bored rigid and so you try to do more than you really should.

Please try taking it easy and look after yourself.
