In Cheshire this morning we had the most amazing thunder storm, with absolutely torrential rain (and discovered a leak in the conservatory roof). It's been pouring on & off all day. Admittedly it's not that cold, though.

Rumour here has it that when this weather breaks it is going to be awful!
That must be very different for you up in Shetland JA! We at least get better weather on the whole than you do! Been raining on and off this morning, and now very muggy but amazingly warm! Not looking forward to a cold winter I have to say!

Same down here Squirrel. Was lovely Monday, not too bad Tuesday and today it's been very warm and raining on and off except when I was getting ready to pick Miss E up from school when it chucked it down.

Mr E has heard we are due a wet warm winter. Would prefer it dry and cold myself but will wait and see what happens.

We were down the plot yesterday, working in t-shirts until it had gone dark! It wasnt sunny, quite overcast in fact, but certainly was warm!

Had gale force winds and lashing rain all night! Had to visit the northern isles today and the ferry was all over the place, the sea was that rough. Then ...... the sun came out at lunchtime, and its blue skies again and 15 degrees. So it was just a little blip!

Don't be silly Mrs D! He didn't use dynamite, he uses a foot pump, everyone knows that! If you fill each individual leaf with air, they float away and become someone else's problem!

It would be more fun with dynamite but its a leaf-blower. Its my new best friend from now to Christmas as we have a lot of trees in the school grounds(40 acres).Clear all the roads and blow out from the hedges and banks then lift with the lawnmower.

Snadger everyone knows that the PROPER way to collect leaves is to place a wheelie bin in the middle of the car park and carry the leaves one at a time to it !

I was picking some tomatoes of the remainder of my plants this morning and discovered they were starting to flower again.

Not seen that before. Usually they are been attacked by air frost by now.

That sounds about right. Made me laugh though and I'm exhausted after a 13 1/2 hour shift at work. Mind you the pic on Tensing's ebay post went down well!
