  • A fun way to raise money for Comic Relief

Not sure how many are "Twittering" but one of the Twitters I'm following is Peter Serafinowicz (comic genius), and he's set up a fun game on his page that I thought some of you may like to play along with and help raise money for charity.

Here's his Twitter page: Twitter / serafinowicz

Basically, you donate £2 to comic relief and then suggest a pop name based on a plant or vegetable.

Justgiving - Peter Serafinowicz's Fundraising Page

Mine was Bonsai Dog Doo Dah Band.

Go, on, it's fun. Some of the other suggestiosn are fantastic.

i donated to comic relief a couple of years ago, i phoned and made a donation by credit card, for months no money was taken then one day they took the donation, about 3 months late, at that time the funds were not in my account and i was charged a fee for the transaction, i will never give to comic relief again, well i will but it will be to the people with buckets and not on the phone

My daughter has gone to school today in her pyjama's for comic relief £1 things on sale at school xxx amount depending what it is. I put money in a bucket at another school as I passed by, and the local Pizza cafe ( not the big chain ) have had a quiz running for a few weeks about chocolate and sweets. I prefer to do my donating this way but it sounds like a good idea.

I'm sure if you'd of spoken to your bank they would have understood - they're not all bad guys you know.

thats what i thought, called them a few times about it actually, and no they did not refund the charges and were not atall interested, just saying it was up to me to make sure funds were available, after 3 months i thought something had gone wrong with the transaction, the phone line was bad the night i done it.
by the time they took the donation and the charges the bill was over £80 so i am sure you can understand my reluctance to recommend donating in this way, as i said this was 3 years ago so maybee things have improved now
