Hi Grayryan and welcome to the 'vine! Sorry I cant help with any mags, we've only just got our allotment too and have only got the last GYO mag so far, but if you need any help or advice then post it on the 'vine, theres lots of very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly folks here who usually help us newbies out!

You could try the local library. Some clearance bookshops sell good gardening books as well.

Charity shops often have some decent gardening books as well, although Oxfam tend to be the priciest and you may need to visit a few.

          Happy hunting.

A well-known high street discount bookseller has 2 of Bob Flowerdew's books for £4.99 each (no-dig... and organic bible). There is also a book - can't remember title except for having the word allotment in, also I think less than a fiver.

I've got the Kitchen Garden magazine from c. No 4 to the ?May 2006 editions. Would need to be collected, before they go on the Nov 5th bonfire.

I've got several years worth of Gardeners' World magazines that I want to pass on to a happy home. They cover other gardening stuff as well as growing fruit and veg, but I'm sure there'd be plenty in there for you to make use of.

Too heavy to post it all but you're welcome to collect if you're anywhere near me.
