  • TV Stardom beckons!!

Received this today by email.....is this the sort of program you would watch? Would like to hear your comments!

    Dear XXXX,

12 Yard Productions and the BBC have announced a new Factual Entertainment TV programme called ‘The National Village Show’, set in Britain’s rural heartland, which celebrates the traditional village show.

There will be 5 categories of GIANT VEGETABLES within the competition:

Giant Pumpkins; Giant Leeks; Giant Marrows; Giant Cabbages and Long Carrots (there are other non giant vegetable categories too – please see Entry Form) and we hope that you will want to compete!

Six regional heats will take place around the country in August and September 2006, with the series culminating in a ‘National Final’ where the National Village Show champions in each category will be crowned!

We got your contact details from the list of winners at the Shepton Mallet and Malvern shows websites and we would love it if you were interested in taking part in our show!

Attached with this letter is an Entry Form which you should complete and return to us as soon as possible. When we receive your completed form, we will be in touch to book your place at the regional heat that you have selected.

We’d really like to hear from you so please give us a call on 020 xxxx 2861 to discuss the show in more detail!

    Good luck!

    The National Village Show Team

I would be interested in watching this - the more we promote hoime grown veggies the better - and it's always interesting to see different takes on how to grow veg in different parts of the country. Hope it's more succesful than the recent and short lived allotment programme we were all looking forward to.
    Cheers
