Right thats it! the rain is sheeting down on the "lean to" roof and even though I've got the fire on its cold! Dexter the dog is wrapping himself in his blanket - time to put the heating on! DDL
PS one for the ladies on the Vine - today is the first day this winter I've worn tights! Yuk! but definately necessary!
if you say so Nick! ......I'm thinking now of the Rocky Horror Show again! (another thread!).....not going there! BUT isn't central heating wonderful? DDL

CH not on yet but woodburning stove on every night for last week -it's in the kitchen but heats up most of the rest of my mansion too.
Here's a tip for anyone with a multi fuel stove - do NOT use coal chips !! I got six bags for free last winter, put some in the scuttle and threw them on the stove - within 15 mins the flue and the top of my stove were glowing red and the paint on the wall behind it was blistering and giving off some noxious fumes - if you're gonna use them, use them a little at a time !!!
After being married and our 4th house move to where we are now (admittedly 11 years ago!) this is our first house with central heating!
I remember the days getting a bath and then drying off in front of a cylinder gas heater!
I've become soft these days! I still appreciate it though! DDL
