'slapped cheek'

This is what my 4 yr old has.
After the toddle having a throat infection all last week, then OH having one too and them both being on antibiotics and grumpy, now my eldest boy has 'slapped cheek'.

He feels absolutely fine, just looks funny(lol) but the annoying thing is that it will mess up our entire weekend as he had planned to go to a animal farm play place tomorrow but can't as there is always hundreds of little ones and pregnant women there, and we were also going out for lunch on sunday with 15 family members but my sis-in-law is pregnant too. Doc has advised non-contact.

Bummer. Why do these things always happen when you've got loads planned?
And double bummer I have to keep a child who doesn't feel ill off school til the rash thing goes away.

Oh dear - the joys of having kids lol! (Not that I'd know!) At least it means you get to spend more time gardening .

My friend's girl had that the other week - was sure it was a made up thing so had to google to check. Am pretty sure it never used to exist when I was a kid and how come it never got a proper name?

Lol more time gardening? With a bored 4 year old with ots of energy? Not too likely
I remember the days well, my two had chickenpox one after the other, couldnt go anywhere for weeks

It's on its rounds (it never stops really), my son had it at New Year followed by Impetigo, both on the rounds in his school, he caught both poor thing

And now the toddlie has something which looks suspiciously like conjunctivitis... will know more in the morning - When Will It Stop??!!!! I am so fed up of them all being ill all the time!

Poor Chap!...problem is when their immune system is busy fighting off one thing it struggles with the next onslaught!Sure he'll pick up soon...keep him at home for the week,that way he can't infect anyone else & it'll also give him a chance to properly fight off what he needs to without coming into contact with anything else!(and you get a week of lots of extra mummy cuddles!)
After my fun week of a girlie with a broken arm & a sickly boy with a tummy bug,I woke up yesterday to discover they'd brought home some of the less desirable school pets!!!...it's bad enough them getting them,but when they share them with me!!!Think we've managed to eliminate them...but My God did they itch!!!
