Oh dear the only word I can come up with is OUCH!!!

I had that type of cactus - the spines are arranged in pretty patterns. Flowers nice as well.

After the hundreds I did have, only 18 remain - I had deserted them when I moved away from home, and all those cacti were a bit much for my mum to keep an eye on. She also wanted greenhouse space back.
