Ditto, DDL - it was one of the things my OH pulled me up on when we first moved in together - so now I hang it coming from the back deliberately...

nope - he always puts it down, but he leaves the empty tubes on top of the radiator, instead!!!

Oh well here goes into the seat up/down fray. Mr E, very kindly, being outnumbered two to one, leaves the seat down but also leaves the empty tubes lying around. I would prefer him however to close the lid as well. I think that is a feng shui thing, but for me it just looks neater. Probably a hang over from living in a house with only a catchment/underground tank for water and only flushing at certain times to avoid wasting water. Will stop there for those with too vivid imaginations.

Me I'm a hang down the back, seat down AND lid down kinda gal. Unfortunately not everyone I live with agrees with that which leaves me constantly banging the toilet lid down noisily so everyone knows how I feel!!!
