  • always read the label.......

Made a boo boo today, went to homebase ( more compost!! ) and saw a citrus tree..... reduced from 15 pound to 5 pound, thought to myself result and bought it, on the way home i was reading the instructions of care and saw that i can't actually eat the fruits!!!!

needless to say from now on i will be careful what i buy!! lol

    It does look pretty though!!!!

    Could you return it?

i probably could return it, but for 5 pound it seems silly..... and i have plans for the un edible fruits..... i'm going to dry them and add scented oils, there is about 10 fruits on there at the moment.

Probably trying to avoid any litigation.

Check it out thoroughly before you eat them. I called the Co-op last year as the label on the miniature strawbs I bought said 'for decoration' or something like that - but they were perfectly edible. And once they had a few weeks in the ground and some feed - they weren't miniature at all...

A calmodin orange is, I believe, only inedible because it is so bitter. I would imagine you can use the fruits in the same way you can use lemons, perhaps make orangeade or a version of the vine's famous limoncello.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Maybe you can't eat the fruits that are on the tree currently because they've been sprayed with something?
