Hmm kinda but our section has other perhaps unrelated stuff in it. The one I normally look at is on the allotments4all site and it has an entire section dedicated to bargains. I have to say I much prefer the way this site is set out so I wasnt criticising, just wanted to share my good fortune.

I'd say no but only because I can't see I'd ever have use for it. I like using the established seed suppliers and I feel I've got an option of recompense if things go wrong (which they never have). I wouldn't go buying seeds from another source. Giveaways and swaps are fine but we already have a section for that.

I doubt a selling section would be an issue for mods. To be honest they could wash their hands of it and leave it as buyer beware. As long as there are strict rules its fine. I've used an airgun forum before which is dominated by a secondhand section and its works great. I just can't see a market for selling/buying stuff on a veg growing forum?

You, and anyone of course, can post any bargains in the Top Tips section. It's been very popular recently and isn't specifically for gardening stuff.

Has to be a "NO" I think it would spoil the good relationship on here among us grapes, especially those of us who have been members for a good length of time and have got to know each other.

as long as there was only a minor charge to sell on it and you could also do swaps i'd be happy with it

I'm against it too. Don't much fancy the idea of the forum turning into a war zone with disputes etc. Whatever peeps' good intentions, things still have the potential to go wrong.
I'll stick to the classifieds, freecycle, ebay etc etc.

I can see the appeal, but too risky, too much to go wrong.
swaps extended to things other than seeds, maybe, but that is quite enough!
