Thanks all. We got a couple of hours of lovely sunshine so Mr R came home for a bit and we moved all our stuff to the new plot. The soil is lovely and we've found loads of winter veg not yet dug up!

However, we got there and found a note on the door from Mr Horrible saying that he IS going to move the shed to the plot next door - he rang her and offered it to her. Don't mind either way now as have a shed on the new plot. However, when moving the only raised bed with soil in it, we found some raw sausages in the (undisturbed) soil. What do you make of that?

How utterly bizarre Raw sausages??? They couldn't possibly have got there on their own, but why put em there??

Even better that you're moving plots then

If i was being a tiny bit cynical I would say that they were put there by 'someone' who would like to attract the local foxes/cats to come along and dig them and the bed up.

You're well out of that one, Rhona!

Definitely sounds like petty sabotage (sausotage?) to me...

Glad you have a nice new plot, Rhona - and at least it was sorted out now, not in the middle of summer when you had loads of crops in the ground!

I'm afraid we thought it might be sausotage too. I'm pretty upset about it. He's a very odd guy and I'm worried he might do more. We have a baby girl who'll be tottering around and I'm a bit scared he might put something else in the soil or something. We've never even met him! No two ways about it, his 'efforts' have really spoiled getting our first precious lottie! What to do?!

That's a very good point Sanjo, that really would have been soul destroying

                    Hi Rhona

Try not to let it get it you, its a real pain that you were given the wrong plot in the first place, and had to deal with the very strange man and his stupid secondhand shed. Now perhaps you have moved plots things will calm down and turn out alright, good luck anyway.

Don't let it get to you hon & don't give up on your dream lottie.
Everyone is right the more you react to stuff the more satisfaction you are giving him and to be honest he is not worth the attention.

Glass half full - well done girl!

As to the 'sausage gate' incident, ignore, it probably has more to do with the plot than you. You get some very odd bods on allotments (we have a few) but I have found total indifference works a treat - the wierdo's who bothered me last year have now moved onto pastures (newbies) new! The lovely welcoming neighbours more than make up.
