    Doesn't it just.

I'm finding myself rather humbled and contented with life these days and its really reassuring when someone else expresses kindness and generosity back at you.

My mother has always said "Its nice to be nice" and those people today really made my day whether they realise it or not!

I had a lovely freecycle experience the other day. Was lucky enough to get some demijohns I offered for, and gave the man some of my freshly laid eggs. He has since emailed me again, offering me a wormery. Such a nice man.

I had a lovely experience yesterday when someone on here offered to send me her hen night stuff when I was worrying that the bits I had werent enough for my sisters hen night. She even offered to look for more stuff when she went into town that afternoon. How is that for a wonderful, sweet, kind person? She is fast becoming a very good friend on here and its a friendship I already treasure.

God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done

I love hearing about human kindness - normally we only hear about the bad stuff. I've had lovely freecycle experiences, too, far more than the bad ones (the no shows). I collected 4 gardening books at the weekend and spent a good hour leafing through them (before I realised I should actually DO some gardening!!).

Theres to much negativity that surrounds us sometimes. I'm enjoying knowing there are some fantastic people out there and not just on here.

              Freecycle

Ello each. I'm reading alot about Freecycle on here. At the risk of seeming thick, what is it and how do I find it? Is it local or nationwide? I'm new to this technology lark so bear with me folks! Cheers.
I'd give up chocolate but I'm no quitter!

Just go to the website - The Freecycle Network

You need to sign up for a yahoo account and find a group in your area. (Keep in mind they expect you to offer some stuff too before placing wanted ads!)

If you go to the website its pretty straight forward but Im just getting used to it too myself. Good luck!

There's no such thing as strangers - they're just friends you haven't met yet.

Ha ha, I won a competition when I was a kid too for designing a "say no to strangers" poster for the police campaign. I won 4 and had my photo taken with the mayor.

                      Clearly, my poster was effective.

To add to the kindness. Hubby came in last night with a boot full of fine green mesh/net that he had skip dived!!

I have enough to cover my whole plot and will donate the rest to the special needs allotment next plot to me!

                        Happy Days!
