  • Fires/burning stuff

I know this is a topic that is close to the hearts of lots of Grapes...

Are there any laws/guidelines about having fires (on your own land)?

We plan to have a bonfire in November, but it will be huge (about 7ft tall), mostly trees we have cut down and an old rotten shed...

We can't find anything about what you can and can't do regarding burning stuff...does anyone know?

    Cheers!

Contact your local Environmental Health department. I hear them advising many folk here on what they can burn etc.

    Hope that helps.

Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway.

Local byelaws usually apply. We are apparently a smoke free zone here so I can only have a little fire after dark and it must only be garden stuff, no treated wood etc.

However given the foul stench that emits from Fawley it would be a drop in the ocean.
