  • Can't Stop Buying

Has anybody got anything the they can't stop buying.

For me it is spring bulbs. I can't walk past a shelf in a supermarket, DIY store or where ever and not buy the bargain spring bulb collections at the moment.

I have just put all my recent purchases together and its quite a pile.

2 things, I doubt I have room for them all, secondly do I have the time to plant them!

Is there anything you must have and damn the consequences?

    Cheers

Books and really good chocolate oh yes and essential oils and lavender plants.

Mr E is a DVD buyer. Miss E is starting to develop a passion for shoes and handbags despite my best efforts, especially pink, sparkly, fluffy stuff. And this is the child that brings worms home as pets!!!

I'm a fully paid up member of the chocolate tasting club but have to restrict myself to 3-4 boxes a year. Have already entered the chocolate giveaway competition.

Books are my weakness but I'm trying to restrict myself to the library to save money.
Seeds are another one. A new packet of seeds is so full of promise!

Oh and anything on ebay....damn that site

Earthbabe, I buy from the chocolate tasting club too - six times a year, and my next box will be turning up shortly - something to look forward to

Other than that - seeds! I always buy too many, and get loads of free ones from magazines and never enough room in the greenhouse for them all.

Trouble is - don't know about you - but I don't really like to cut them up!! I would quite happily frame them and put them on the wall if I was allowed to and if I didn't know that it would probably make me known to be very strange (instead of just being strange, but keeping it well hidden!)

Am with LJ on the cookery books front and can easily get carried away in the gardening catalogues on those cold winter nights. I content myself with the fact it's better than make up and shoes but that's probably debatable. OH can't resist a gadget and it's taken me years to convince him that I don't want something small and electronic for my birthday - last year after some (very unsubtle) hints he eventually realised I didn't want a camera that was so light it would float in air and bought me a wormery - much more useful and it's been quite fun now it's up and running.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Cookery books.... saw a new one by Jamie Oliver, meant for people who can't cook - it shows all the basics and stuff...

Had to force myself away from the shelf and not buy it, as I don't need a "basic" cookery book!

Also, gadgets for the garden, that you can do without, or have made them yourself, but you see it in B&Q, or a garden centre or a seed catalogue and think "Hmmm, that looks useful"

AND... kitchen stuff from Lakeland Limited. I don't really need a pineapple corer, but you never know when it will come in handy. My OH refuses to take me to Windermere, as all I want to do is look in Lakeland. I get dead excited when the catalogue is delivered

                              God, I'm so sad!
