My poor brain!
So...my friend's cooking us a Thai Green Curry tonight for her birthday...wasn't a problem up to this point!
Now I've not a clue whether to eat with my fingers/knife & fork or cutlery!...& to confuse matters more,I now don't know whether I should be coming home an hour early or staying for that extra hour???..do I take one bottle or two?the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

Originally posted by Jenegade View PostWas just googling BST and found this:
"Some campaigners in Britain would like the country to stay on British Summer Time (BST) all year round, or in other words, adopt Central European Time and abolish BST. Alternatively, some would like Britain to adopt Central European Time and jump forward another hour during the summer (adopting a Single/Double Summer Time from Britain's perspective). This would make winter evenings longer, thereby reducing traffic accidents and cases of seasonal affective disorder. Opponents point to the longer hours of darkness on winter mornings, especially in Scotland, which might well cause an increase in road accidents. It has even been suggested that Scotland should be placed on a different time zone from the rest of the UK, which, unlikely though it may sound, would be possible as the UK Parliament could legislate to put the UK forward an hour, and then the Scottish parliament could put Scotland back onto GMT."
That would be weird travelling from Scotland down to England and the time changing!!
I see no sensible reason for us to use French time. If the USA can function with several time zones, why can't the EU? (in any case Portugal uses GMT/BST as well, and surely some of the more recent joiners further east use a different time as well?) It is sometimes quite awkward relying on French time when we go to Spain (most of Spain is further west than a lot of the UK). What time is used in Ireland?Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
