Late, you lucky thing! I got my first grey hairs at 16, then went rapidly downhill. Its when the hairdresser said "Bern, you need low lights, not highlights!" I realised I was well on the way to being totally grey. Think Ive been totally grey for 15years! LOL!

Just started to notice more and more just recently, im 36. Its worse for me when i tie my waist length, dark brown hair in a pony tail for work, i see little wispy ones at the side and i have to spend 20 mins pulling them all out before i can leave for work!!!

Interesting article in the news a few weeks ago, about how scientists have discovered what causes loss of hair colour, and how they reckon they can have a "cure" for it in a few years.

Anyway, part of that article said the average age for the first white hairs is 25, so if you make it past 25 before they start to appear, you're doing quite well!

I don`t even know what my true colour is. I have been dying it for about 15 years so grey hairs don`t stand a chance.

First noticed grey hairs in my mid - 30's, but probably had a few before that
Now in my late 50's they are definately there , but still have a lot of original dark brown colour.

Did you see a BIlly Connolly show on TV a couple of years ago? when he said he found out there's one thing about growing old that no - one seems to mention GREY PUBIC HAIRS!!

I had my first grey hair just before my 27th Birthday - a friend 'stole' it, had it framed and gave it to me as a Birthday present (Git!) I've only got a few round the front, but being dark I colour it now, as I can't afford to lose any more (I used to pull them out). Won't use permanent colour though, as it has a tendency to go orange in the sun

My sister, who is three years younger than me is already 25% grey, but she's always coloured her hair, so doesn't worry.

I bought my OH some Just For Men for chest hair at christmas - from the boys obviously. PMSL. I wonder why he dind't find it as funny as the rest of us?!

Needless to say it is still in the box! his chest hair is really grey but his head isn't too bad at aged 37.

Lol... my hubby noticed a couple of grey hairs a few months ago... I am gonna blame it on my 9 months old *justkidding*... I'll be 28 this year.

I don't know how old I was when I got my first, but it was before I had kids, which was when I was 22. I'm 36 now, and have much more grey/white than blondish brown! I must say, it really doesn't bother me, but it seems to bother other people that I don't colour it

Not me, but a friend of mine started going grey at 13 and now, in her mid-twenties, is completely grey

No grey hairs here yet, despite being in my late forties - women in my family don't seem to start going grey until their sixties.

So do you use white on red if it goes wrong?

Continuing the thread - I didn't shave for a couple of weeks a while back, but when I saw greys sprinkled throughout my beard I decided not to repeat the exercise.
