I think it's meant to send a worlwide message of our disgust at the treatment of the planet's destuction of it's resources etc and using carbon.. shame I live in a village where no-one can see if they are on or not!

I think it will have more of a 'visual impact message' in the large cities such as Sydney where it all began.
