I've got a lounge full of blokes watching the footie on Setanta - and drinking copious amounts of beer. No way am I going to let them stumble to the bathroom then 'guess' where the toilet is......

Never heard of this and can't see what good it will do - not even as a symbolic gesture. Sorry, the lights are staying on.

Missed it! I only read about it after the time was up........

When we are in Spain, our electricity comes from our own solar panels or windmill. We live on that basis for a couple of weeks at a time (we do run the generator when doing the laundry, because the spin dryer is a bit heavy, but that is half-an-hour twice a week, max)
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

above the clouds the sun is shining and the sky is blue. if you look hard enough you can just about see it!

And only count lifes sunny hours,

Did it, looked out of the window and wondered why I was bothering. Seems that no-one else joined in.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

A waste of time, just one hour!
Just like the throw-away carrier bag issue, very minor.

Food coming from the other side of the world, building a third runway, no tax on aviation fuel, its cheaper to drive than catch the bus/train, road not safe for cyclists.

                  Is this the way forward?

Many other things need to be done first, but in the future, maybe.

It is meant as a statement and awareness thing rather than to actually make a difference at the time. Oh and carrier bags etc may be minor but every little does help, don't knock it.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
