I can never get through to the people I want to speak to so I am wondering if anyone here knows if Suffolk CC sell compost?

I just had a look on Suffolk CC's website and it says this:
"18 Household Waste & Recycling Centres in Suffolk: All green waste collected at the sites is shredded and composted to produce soil improver. Bags of soil improver are available to buy at each site."
Local Services – Household Waste Recycling Centres – Suffolk RecyclingAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Which part of Suffolk are you from Herby?
Ipswich council give away the recyled brown bin compost each year.(or at least they have done for the last couple of years anyway & I'm seriously hoping they still do!!!)They have various different locations where it's available. If you PM me I can let you know the one local to us...although don't know the others.the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

I have been a couple of times to different venues and they were giving it away free. I had a look and it didn't seem very comp-osted to me with all the sticks etc sticking in it. I wonder after all the rubbish you wouldn't compost at home has been there if you are not importing trouble. I think also you can buy it from the local dump but they were charging £1.25 for a small bag. I didn't bother buying any as I felt it was cheaper to buy 4 bags for tenner from a garden centre and put that on my ground. that said I have found alsorts of un composted rubbsh in them. give it a try and see. one site here did get a load delivered free but no such for our site yet.

Cheers guys. Andi, I am also in Ipswich. To be honest I don't think you can beat B&Q 3 75L bags for 10 quid, thought the council might off done a bulk load quite cheap.Follow my garden and chilli growing project... @impatientgrower
