Most of you must have seen how municipal flowerbeds get cleared out when in full flower, to plant the next lot. This time it was a planter which was actually going to be removed completely. The workman doing the clearing must have felt like I did about the waste, because he was lifting each plant with a rootball.
I got all the plants I could find a way to take home (in my case 3 pansies and 3 big primroses, 2 blue one white. I could have had more, but so little flower-space in my garden). Today's job is planting them (they've been watered, to keep them happy until I had the time).
anyone else ever saved flowers that way?
