      In answer to the original question - no, I think they are just being neutral. Which, as they ARE the nations public broadcaster, they are surely obliged to do.

        I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs of this particular case, but it does worry me that the right to peaceful protest is being eroded simply because these events are no longer safe. How big would this event have been had concerned families felt able to turn up, as I did with my kids for various causes in the early 80s. Call me cynical, but the trouble and riots are benefiting the government of the day simply because fewer citizens feel able to protest, so I do wonder at the thinking behind it.
        I agree with Two Sheds, how is this acceptable behaviour, yet taking on a gang of hoodies with equal force is not?
        Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
