You will need to leave the roots of some of that scrub on the steepest areas, to hold the slope together (but you knew that of course).

I was going to leave the tree stumps short and in place more because it's to much hassle to take them out. but a good point taken about leaving them in to stop the slope collapsing

I have cleared most of the trees and started putting in some beds at the top , but still lots to do.
