Which way does your wind come?

On checking the Benson weather page for the weekend - take a look at the wind direction

I've heard of westerlies, south westerlies, south south east - but VRB?

Think it means variable as in its not coming from any direction, which makes sense as the speed is 0 mph

Don't you just look out the window & see which way the windsock is blowing Piskie?
There's nearly always a wind blowing round here & it seems to be from the west or north west most of the time as everything in the back garden tends to lean one way & I always struggle to walk down the street but hardly ever when coming up it!
