  • Vegetable wave

is something similar to a mexican wave and I (it seems) am responsible for one such happening.

My next door neighbour has recently started to grow small salad crops in veg pots saying 'yours always looks so lovely, it has driven me to try' - lovely says I

But then yesterday next door but one neighbour (Mrs M&S Food Hall) has started doing the same, saying 'yours always looks so.....' you get the picture.

They are both blaming me - I feel complete, my work is done

    That's Fab!
I sent the veg growing wave over to Chester last week, when our friends went home with a big tub & some Charlotte seed spuds. It's great to see someone else get enthusiastic about veg

Same thing happened here My best mate has gone flower mad, bought a placcy greenhouse and is growing all our bedding plants! Her OH is now saying he wants a veggie patch. I think hes working on the theory that if Fi can do it so can I.

I spent the afternoon at my sisters helping her plant her small garden and build a rockery. I think I talked her into growing some lettuce too. But flowers will make her happy, and thats the point

Both my aforementioned neighbours have said, in very firm voices, 'I am only growing these few, I will never end up like you'
*see Piskie walk away with 'you have been assimilated' glint in her eyes

now see I love that - can we use it as our Vine catch phrase for when things get a little heated - if someone is getting heated they could post only the words 'I'm copping the nark'© and we'd all move along

Get her, with her fancy copyright thingy! Am having limited success with my world domination. My friend's 5 yr old is looking after one of my tomato plants. Does he count? Every assimilation counts, yes?

I'm trying to get all the lads in my department excited about GYO. I read catalogues and GYO mag at lunchtime, and they always ask questions. Yesterday I even gave a Polish chap a quick lesson in pruning/training blackberries yesterday on the back of a post-it note. I'll get 'em!
