  • Thought I had better introduce myself

    Hi everyone,

Should really have done this before jumping in feet first. I have been popping in and out over the last few months but only posted a couple of times.

I have had my plot for 3 years and I am still learning but enjoying it all. I work full time so only get to my plot at the weekend and have to keep up with my garden at home which is full to overflowing with anything but veg.

I am down in Cornwall so I benefit from the mild winters and am not too far from the Eden Project and Heligan as well as lots of other gardens worth visiting in the area.

Will be chatting to some of you again soon

Hi jl, Like you i have been popping in and out of here for a while and made a few posts.
I have only had my veg plot for about 8 months so this year it has been a learning curve for me, i have a small garden at home that i spend alot of time in and as i work full time aswell i can only get to my veg plot at the weekends, but fortunatly it is on my inlaws farm so i can get them to pop up to it if i need something doing. Like you i live in the southwest so i know what you mean about the mild weather and the copious amounts of gardens to visit.

Hi JL! Nice of you to introduce yourself after so long! If you have had a plot for 3 years you will be giving the advice although we are all learning - even Nick doesn't know everything!!!

            Thanks for your replies.

Although I love my overflowing garden at home I get so much more from my plot, most of all the kind of peace we all deserve at times. I am quite happy to try anything out and learn from my mistakes and there have been quite a few already (don't grow what no one will eat - chard)

If I witter on, as I can sometimes I hope someone will tell me to shut up
