  • Never ask a lady their age

    Easter Puzzle

    Aunt Susan was extremely touchy about her age.

    When a cheeky nephew asked her directly how old she was, she cunningly replied that she was 35 years old not counting Saturday's or Sunday's.

    So how old was she really?

    A virtual cream egg to the first correct answer.

    Is it 45? Or is it a trick question?

      Hi Looby-blu - thanks for being the first to post something. Sorry it's not the right answer and no, it's not a trick question. Well done for trying though - it made me think a bit as well and I didn't get it right first time either (same as the driving test LOL)

                  25 years old. 35 years multiplied by 52 weeks multiplied by 2 divided by 365 days = 9.97 years (I rounded it up to ten and you take if OFF the total, not add it on)

                      52x2=104 missed days per year
                      35 x 104= 3640
                      3640 / 365 = 9.972

                      That brings me to the conclusion of 45 too

                        See my edit. I think you take the ten years OFF not add them on.

                            Good efforts one and all but we're not there yet - it works out to an exact whole number - I promise.

                              49 years old exactly (35*7/5)
