  • r.i.p little cucumber plant.....

i've been away for the weekend, come back to find that my cucumber plant that has been kept indoors has keeled over with no chance of recovering, I think she had been overwatered by my mum, luckily the chiili's. peppers, toms and aubergines have survived the wrath of my mum!!!!

I have 1 cucumber plant left, which is out in the growhouse ( dunno how that one survived?)

Is it too late to sow some more?

On a brighter note, the rest of my veggie's have had a massive growth spurt, i have been amazed this evening as to how much can change in just 4 days...... i suppose when u are checking things 5 or 6 times a day u just don't see it.......

Veggie...I've not even thought about sowing my main cukes or courgettes or squashes yet. I've sown a couple of each in the hope that they can go straight out in the middle of May, but the mains will be sown in a fortnights time.

I won't be sowing my Cukes until May. It's been too cold so far.

btw, sympathies over the watering. Last year I went to Asia, leaving FiL in charge of the watering. Rather than do little & often, he filled up all the pots once a week - I came back to find everything drowned, while he thought he'd done a great job

the only plants my mum can keep alive is cactus!! lol oh and she doesn't do to bad with cut flowers in a vase.

At least i still got time for more cukes, we have a beautiful day here so i'm off out to re pot my aubergines, chillies and toms.

Oh what a shame- at least you have plenty of time to sow some more.

I sowed some courgette seeds last night, i won't be putting the courgette plant outside until end of may- don't know if i should just wait and put it outside once i come back off holiday at start of june as i don't know if it will be alright outside on it's own without me there to look after it ?!
