  • Cat on hot tin roof

That is how I feel today, my little kittens are in the vets today for the, erm, operation - tis a little funny though to think they will go (be put) through the menopaws (sorry sorry soorrriee) before their Mum

I have to pace around until 1400hrs before I can call to see how it is going

      Hope they're Ok Piskie.

My daughter has her kitten done last month and she went mad for a few hours- a reaction to the anaesthetic next day you'd never have known she'd had it done...back up the curtains and balancing on the pole before jumping down at the housebunny!!( yup...that is normal for her!!!)
I've never seen a cat aggitated after an op...mine have always just slept it off for a couple of days.
...I'm sure yours will be fine..bet you'll be have them all tucked up at home though?

no - I can't imagine that anyone would be remotely interested in reading about my life/garden/work etc

Nicos - I am hoping it calms Cleo down a little, she is totally barking, very insecure and truly believes I am Lead Cat

Actually I recall one of my male cats years ago coming round over a few hours.
He'd jumped up onto a chair when experiencing a moment of lucidity...and promptly fell off when he's started to slumber( self-righting instinct didn't kick in!)

Keep an eye out for that Piskie!

...on the plus side- you've 2 snoozy cats to care for..at least one 'probably' won't be pestering the other???

The nurse said 'do you want us to do anything else whilst they are under?' I said 'such as?' she said 'micro-chipping, claws clipping?' I said 'claw replacement with rubber please'

Hope everything's gone O.K. Piskie, I'm sure they'll be fine but you can't help worrying can you, I was really worried when we had our dog 'done' years ago but it was quite a big op as she was a big boxer & was very sorry for herself after. I think cats tend to bounce back quicker, watch them with the stitches though, have they got those big plastic collars on to stop them picking at them?
