Chelle, thanks so much for sharing that. It's very hard isn't? Sorry, perhaps I didn't make it clear, it was my ex husband, her dad. She was only 12 when he left but a very impressionable age. I know what you mean about being scared. When I first left the marriage, I too had zero confidence but wanted to do nursing and didn't have enough qualifications so aged 30 plus I did Biology and Maths GCSE but in a class with 16 year olds. That was really tough although the kids were quite sweet. Do have a go or you may regret it later. Its not nearly as scarey as you imagine it to me.
